Elder scrolls / skyrim a lack of humor!

And then there are all the sarcastic responses you can choose in certain dialogue options. If it's not "Yes" or "No", it's "Snarky response",

A tleast it doesnt try hard like Fable....Dear god.

Elder Scrolls is a serious game. You want humor play Saint Row and kill a cop with a [censored] machete.

So I say it lacks humor wich it does so I should impale cops with a [censored]?Look at fallout has the right amount of humor it's not joke spamming but theres enough to give characters life and personality.

Lack of humor? I wouldn't say so. I find it a hilarious coincidence that a lot of the guards were adventurers like me, until they got an arrow in the knee.

It's at times like that you wish they would say nothing. After hearing the same thing hundreds of times it's more irretating than funny.

Does the game need humor? I don't think so.

There's plenty of subtle humor in the game and a couple of things that I found shockingly funny!

There's a quest early in the game where a man in Whiterun asks you to retrieve his father's sword from some bandits. Playing as a stealthy character I snuck into the bandits lair; assassinating them one at a time. When you sneak into the room where the leader is eating, you hear one of the funniest pieces of dialogue in the game. The bandit leader is grumbling about one of his associates and at one point he says, "I'm gonna kill him if he talks to me like that again." He then begins singing "I'm gonna kiiill hiiim if he talks to me like that again." Lol! That had me going for quite a while man.

One of the main DB quests had a funny moment. The lizard guy was injured, and I went to talk to him, he said it only hurt when he laughed and you had the choice to tell him a joke, he laughs hysterically and then shrieks in pain xD

One of the alchemists told me potions of stamina were popular with young men. That was funny. Guards say funny things, as does Maiq. Read Cicero's journals. He killed a killed an arena grand champion by impersonating an adoring fan, which I thought was an amusing twist on how everyone hated the adoring fan and killed him. lol.

I thought it was utterly hilarious to get chomped by a dragon the first time! (And maybe the second and third times too.)

Although I would have liked to see a bit more humor in dialogue, I still found some funny things. Like "A Night To Remember", Cecero and his insanity, also, in Windhelm if you buy the house and go to buy furniture, you can pay to have *Possible Spoiler* that "Murderers mess cleaned up", the guy responds with the normal response for whenever you buy something for your home about how it will be ready by the next time you visit your house. This response makes no sense for what you asked. After he says it you get a small dialogue option; "...". I found this a bit humorous just because Beth realized it made no sense. :cookie:

Sam, and that mad mad in Solitude. To the point that I wish there was a "to Defy the Gods" quest where I really get to kill them (just for the fun on my end, too!)

Yes but bethesda seems to save it best characters for fallout .Elder scrolls has too many yeah get this ohh thanks sweetie.

Fallout and Elder Scrolls are two different series with different canon, and different styles.

There is humor in the Elder Scrolls, but it often takes on a more subtle form than outright "haha" jokes and set ups.

The kind of humor you seem to be after is like ol' Uncle Sheogorath.

I dunno I get a pretty good kick out of listening to my Dremora Lord's taunts. (minor spoiler:) Also the boy in Winterhelm that's summoning the Dark Brotherhood is quite humorous to me! I especially like how all the kids cheer when the evil orphanage lady is dead. It's dark humor but humor none the less. Lets not forget Maiq as well!

I find it rather concerning that all the security in Skyrim suffer from knee-cap disabilities
makes it pretty easy for a theif to get away don't you think?

TES does have its moments. I know this sounds really blasphamous, but I couldn't help but kind of wish the perks had a little Vault Boy cartoon next to them :sadvaultboy:
