The Descending of Falmer

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 7:03 pm

You get a mysterious note from a courier inviting you to a dwemer ruin. When you get there you find yourself in a twisted and long dungeon cursed by Falmer. As you finally make your way down into a cathedral like area where another statue of the once beautiful snow elves. You hear a voice suddenly.

"You...are the one,"

You here the voice say.

"You...are the one I have seen, I have felt whispers amongst them,"

Confused, "Who are you?"

The voice, "I am no one now. Once a king in the long past."

You, What do you want from me?

The voice laughs.

The voice says, "Justice."

You, "I am not sure what you mean,"

The voice says, "Several of my people are still trapped, lingering ghost. Locked into a fierce battle. Free them."

You, "Why me?"

The voice, "Isn't it obvious because you're strong,"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your map is updated and you're taken to another ancient Dwemer ruin. But this one is completely different. As you open the door you're taken to a beautiful place. Not like the ancient ruins of before. You find your inventory empty. Instead you're wearing Ancient Clothes. People greet you as you know it. You remember your objective the statue asked you. But as the quest pulls you in. You have the option of joining up with the Dwemer or the Falmer. After defeating the leader and going through interesting quest of sorts, you find yourself in an ancient ruin once again your equipment back. But you'll be awarded with sweet bad ass armor of either Dwemer or Falmer origin. When you must report to the statue they may be pleased or upset.

If you chose to help the Dwemer, they manifest as a ghost and you must fight a Falmer King of sorts. And then of course from the ghostly remains you get another set of unique and rare items from ancient times, but constructed as if they lived today.

Because you posted it, now it has no chance of becoming an actual DLC (unless BGS doesn't see this).

Why would it have no chance? Because the OP would demand compensation because it was his/her idea? (Not sarcasm, that's a legitimate question)

I think it's a great idea. I didn't realize these little goblin falmer were the majestic snow elves at first, took me about 1/2 way through the main quest and a random falmer loading-screen and I was like "wait.... no f'ing way." So, I would love to see a little more explanation on how they changed.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/user/341528-socrates200x/'s (a BGS developer) words:

...but for legal reasons, the chance of us ever using DLC ideas from an outside source are 0%. Actually, negative 0%.

I'd be to happy. I have always had dreams of like a DEV taking me seriously when it comes to my story ideas. I hear about those kids with legitimate illness who get their ideas published. I mean I don't have an illness, but I'd love to just for one of my ideas to spring forth. Just having that dream fulfilled is compensation enough.

I'm glad you like my idea though.

When lawyers get involved, everyone loses. Lawyers don't like infringement cases. While 99.9% of people with ideas wouldn't care about Bethesda using one, there's always that one jerk who will sue.

Well damn that one jerk. I'm trying hard to get into video game developing. But more or less the story side of things. The animation and stuff is a no go. My drawing skills are blegh.

perhaps you should make a mod instead. post this up on one of the modding pages and see if you can find more people who will help you make it.

Heya, don't cross-post threads. I'll close this one and leave the one in the mods forum open. (If you wish me to reverse that and close the other one, and open this one, just PM me. )
