Not so sure about this one, although I am no longer a kynigosphobia, I say you may need some Med-X and Anti-Venom to pull this one off.

I'm not sure, but I'd guess at least the anti-venom. But iirc his claim was that he finished repconn at lvl 6 or 8 (can't remember which, might've been 6), ran the club down to the cazzies and because of its long reach and dmg he killed them all and leveled up to lvl 10 in the process from all the +50xp. He did not say how long it took him or what armor he was wearing or what aids if any etc. :)

He may have been fighting Young Cazadors at the wind farm then.

Rebar club actually one of the more practical melee weapons (easy to get, decent cool down, decent damage, only 9lbs).

10mm SMG with lots of ammo. Several hundred of normal a hundred or so AP and another hundred HP. Allows fast movement and destroys all the small stuff. Cadzador special, use HP ammo.

Sheesh... all the sniper rifle addicts here... sniper rifle sniper rifle sniper rifle... dinnerbell :o oh god lol.

Meh sniper rifle is for new fallout players, too easy with that insane x5 but oh well. Whatever helps you sleep at night :P.

Personally, I think guns are way too easy especially 75/100 guns, so I go for something that I find needs a bit more finesse and strategy on veryhard+hardcoe.

I don't want to hassle myself with ammo and casings and lead and all that other crap as well as perks I can just forget all together, so, my set up is:

Bounty Hunter Duster (subdermal and 1x Toughness)
Authority sunglasses
VanGraff Combat Armor (versus heavy enemies like brotherhood, hitsquad, deathclaw)

SuperSledge (Oh Baby!)
Displacer Glove (Pushy)
Ballistic Fist
Shishkebab
Chainsaw
Thermic Lance

Aids:

Stimpak
Radx
Radaway
Doctor's Bag

Anything else is just useless deadweight that I sell... no reason to have any of them around IMHO just cluttering up my inv.

Expensive Wasteland (all items cost 10x more expensive at merchants),
Populated Wasteland (many more human enemies respawn across the wasteland)

Cass (allows for constant +2 STR, equivalent to two implants or intense training points)
ED-E

Reinforced leather armor or VaultSec armor... Mobility takes priority over protection. Maneuvering is the key to any victory in a fight.

Melee weapon is http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34726.

My "Sidearm" for killing the occasional vermin is usually either a 10mm pistol or a laser pistol (denerfed, keep in mind).

For killing lots of vermin, I have a 10mm SMG.

For slugging it out with mooks, I have http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/35678-1-1289695596.jpg.

For really laying on the hurt up close, I have the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/35678-2-1289695597.jpg.

For blowing mook heads off, I have the Hunting Rifle all tricked out (Sniper Rifle is a gamebreaker, I will not use it)

For blowing Deathclaw heads off, I have the Gauss Rifle.

My loadouts often change depending on what kind of situation I know I'm going into, but my most common loadout is:

Armour:
Combat Armour Mk II
Combat Helmet Mk II
Rebreather

Clothes:
Pre-War Hat
Pre-War Parkstroller Outfit (Can't find anything that looks better, yet)

Weapons:
Binoculars (Don't often carry scoped weapons, unless I know I'm going up against Deathclaws or Super Mutants)
Hunting Shotgun+ (For close range or anything that needs some more firepower)
That Gun (Only use .223 rounds for it)
This Machine

Aid:
All the Stimpacks I can get my hands on
27 Doctors Bags, Small Frame trait means I need them more often
All the Chems I can get my hands on, but rarely use them
More RadAway and Rad-X than I'll ever be able to use
10 Weapon Repair Kits
5 Stealth Boys

Ammo:

275 .223
400 .308
190 12 Gauge Slug

I also carry plenty of Legion Denarius and components to make more ammo, and never have less than $10,000 NCR Dollars, And I never go ANYWHERE with less than 2000000 caps :disguise:

Leather armor, just cuz it looks bad ass in that Mad Max kinda way. Everything else looks too bulky and awkward.
10mm Pistol fully modded. Damn good gun that gets you through the first half of the game. The 9mm SMG is also great. Ammo is cheap and plentiful and the gun just looks damn cool, especially when you're sporting leather armor. Again, the important thing is to look cool. :disguise:

Late game I like the 12.7mm pistol with silencer and the Anti-Materiel.

I love unarmed combat, energy weapons are meh, but I always find myself reverting back to my Sniping Guns mindset when I actually want to do well.

Anyway, my typical loadout:

-Reliable rifle, Sniper or just Hunting.
-Standard 10mm pistol
-'nades
-Assault Carbine

-Reinforced Leather Armor
-Sunglasses
-1st Recon Hat

The armor combo actually looks really cool, black with the red beret and silver shades B)

Very Hard hardcoe

1. AMR
2. Brush Gun
3. Light Machine Gun
4. 9mm as fallback

AMR is for toughies and other big game. Brush gun is my "scrub gun" for killing stupid crap I don't want to waste .50 or 5.56 on. LMG is for groups of toughies. 9mm is for scrubbing up and when out of ammo for everything else.

Armor
Body-Reinforced Combat Armor Mark II (It's like heavy medium armor!)
Face-Rebreather (Helps traverse water and look cool)
Head-1st Recon Beret (Stats are helpful, and it helps me remember boone, who got slain by random friendly assassins in Novac before I could recruit him)

Weapons-
Primary-Cowboy Repeater++ (Good damage, plentiful ammo. Will switch to This Machine when I get enough ammo)
Sidearm-.44 Magnum (High power, can sneak into casinos, accurate)
Explosives-Fragmentation grenades(for groups) and C4(When s*** goes down)
Close Quarters-Hunting shotgun w/slugs/long tube (Slugs help hit, regardless of range, and the shotgun is very powerful)
Melee-Combat knife (Rarely use it, but still it's nice to have)

Medicine
Healing over time-Sunset Sarsaparilla (Star caps, plus good healing value)
Instant healing- Stimpacks (When in combat, or in danger)
Radiation protection (Usually just radaway after, don't use rad-x)

Other
Rose of Sharon Cassidy (I can't carry everything I find)
