I'd like to request a Sunbird mod for Oblivion. Recently, after reading some TES Lore I've becomed obsessed with sunbirds, which are giant birds made out of pure fire that are used bythe Altmer to fly straight into the sun so they enter Aethrius. Also, they're pretty badass in a fight. I don't know if a pic of one exists, but I imagine they'd be pretty much like a giant pheonix made out of fire that shoots fire and other magic spells. Anyway, it'd be cool if one of them was a rideable mount.

Though I don't know how much truth there is in this.
Perhaps is just a legend or myth, exaggerated, envisioned or derived from things long gone.
Flying straight into the sun probably shouldn't to be taken literally.
Than again, I've never even heard of them and am not that learned in the Elderscrolls lore.

However they do sound like incredible creatures.
Perhaps the Akatosh mount model could be altered, or an enlarged Imp mode/animations.
Midas Magic's latest version includes a Phoenix spell with a beautiful effect.

The sun is actually just a big hole to Aethrius in the sky. In TES lore, EVERYTHING should be taken literally
I don't think it's myth, because they are mentioned in an offical lore book. Here: http://www.imperial-library.info/pge3/arena_supermundus.shtml . They were used to bring celestial rocks back from Aethrius.
