DX11 fail?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 4:11 pm

I used to run this game with DX9 and it ran fine except the motion blur. I just purchased Windows 7 64-bit(DX11) and have it installed, this new Patch 1.9 content is giving me the worst FPS ever. I thought it was supposed to make your graphics better, not ruin your Crysis 2 experiences.

My spec are:
-NVIDIA GTX 460 1GB
-Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @2.8Ghz
-4GB RAM
-500GB Harddrive
-950 watt Power Supply
-1440x900 resolution
And I have latest drivers installed.

WTF, why is my FPS going to ****? I now have to turn EVERYTHING down to run this game like I did with Windows XP with EVERYTHING being at EXTREME.

REad the Threads grasshopper. You should have expected a performance impact. Tolle Lege, Tolle Lege. "Augustine" = pick up and read.

FPS loss was expected. To help, set Maxium Pre-rendered Frames in the NVIDIA Control Panel to 0, which will reduce the lag a bit. Also run post MSAA off with r_postmsaa = 0 and turn motion blur off as well.

I would honestly say that it could be the processor bottlenecking the card. And what is your exact frame rate?

Midrange video card + midrange CPU @ low clock speeds != Maximum Game
