Seasons in Skyrim

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 11:25 pm

Does anybody know if there are changing seasons in the game, I noticed autumn leaves falling from the trees when playing yesterday? Im only level 12 so havent had time enough to study this.

On another note there was some fantastic mist that seemed to roll down from a mountain when I was playing, beautiful stuff :)

Nope, there is just a fall forest in the rift, which is very nice looking.

The game does have a calendar and lunar phases, so I suppose it's possible, but the number of environments/climates in Skyrim seem like they would be good enough.

Perhaps in TES VI, Bethesda will add seasonal texture variation like with Daggerfall. Unfortunately, that game will probably be in one of the tropical provinces where there is little difference between summer and winter.

I think a Tropical setting would be good

I find the geographical difference regarding distance and elevation already quite fitting for 'seasons' to change. I love it all really, there is something for everyone. Riften has a beautiful autumn forest for example.
