Using Knife : Crysis

Hi Guys, sorry, but I am ignorant about how to use the knife to stab an opponent. Do I just hi the "f" key?

There's no knife in C2, only can whack em' with ya gun or punch em'.

Well, when I see the "walkthrough's" of a level on YouTube, they are whacking the guys with a knife. I was confused as well, because if there was a knife, I would think that I would be given one very early in the game, or I would just always have it.

When in cloak, sneak up behind your opponent and hit the melee key. You will then either break your opponents neck, or stab him in the throat.
I don't think you can choose which though.
