Reactive Water?

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 10:32 pm

After downloading the dx11 patch and having all my settings set to ultra, the water still isn't as reactive as its shown in the dx11 trailer they posted on youtube, anyone else getting the same thing?

Try shooting the water. The "splash" should seem more realistic. Before you got the ripples but no proper "splash effect with foam".

I don't know though.

Does the water at least look better?

i dont see differences in the water just standing still, and only little differences in gunfire and movement, not my movement though, or any MAJOR differences, it just splashes a little more when OTHER things walk through it

Water may be one of the most difficult object to render realistically. It is more reactive with DX11.

The roll out seems a major step in the right direction.

That's it. Your character/suit isn't actually in the world, it's just rendered upon your view (as it always was in shooters, but this time they render legs too. That's why water doesn't react with you, and that's also why you have no reflection.
