Made My First Battlemage

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 3:40 pm

So I started another new character, running a Battlemage this time (High Elf) and just wondering if I could get some tips on how best to play this, as I am almost always a pure warrior in these games.

Mainly:

- What schools of magic should I focus on? (I am currently using a lot of Conjuration (LOVE IT!) and am very interested in Illusion. I use some Destruction here and there...)

- What type of armor? (Robes vs. Light armor?)

- And any perks that are must haves for Battlemages?

Thanks peeps.

Love,

Venom

It's all up to you. We can tell you what we play but you are totally free in what you will end up with.

My char:

Name: Lina
Race: Breton
Level: 38
Magicka/HP/Stamina (without enchantments): 100/470/100
Primary skills:
- Conjuration
- 1-Handed (conjured sword)
- Light Armor
- Enchanting (+magicka and conjuration cost reduction)

so far no 2nd magic school, still deciding...more than enough perk points to spare.

why haven't you spent any points in mana? Shouldnt this be the main stat for a mage?

I guess if the only spells are conjuration, and you only plan to conjure low level minions, no extra magicka is needed

Also, down the road you can enchant gear to reduce or remove magicka costs, so any +magicka will have been wasted at that point

I've actually been putting a lot of points into Magicka...I figure it certainly won't hurt....
