sli using to much vram

the game looks really nice but it is using all of the vram on both cards,, 480's sli and when it gets up to 1503 of usage it locks up the whole game. oh well was nice for about a hour of messing around. oh i am or was running both dx11 and tp

Are u overclocked? 480's have a 1536mb ram. 1502 shouldn't have caused any issues.

In what location did this happen? I'm starting a new campain right now and can test it out as well.

yes i have a small o/c on the cards, you think that may be the problem thanks. oh just before you get to the ship that crashed, i got in truck and it froze.

Yes, the overclock could be the problem as your hardware has never seen a load like this before. I'd try lowering the memory o/c a lil and try again.

Overclocking your memory is almost ALWAYS useless. Memory OC generally never offers a boost in performance but is the cause of OC failures. The only time you should OC the memory is if you are doing SUPER oc on the core, tehn you must OC the RAM in order to prevent any bottlenecking.

hey thanks guys i am resetting everything, oh my cpu o/c should not be a problem should it? i have a sandy o/c too 4.7

Nice oc on the sandy. I just reached a point that shows 1503mb on memory. No crash.
