DX11 Crash Reports

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 4:53 pm

* Received the 1.9 patch through Steam.

* Manually downloaded and installed the DX11 and hi-res textures packs from gamesas.com

* Fired up the game, started a new campaign... as soon as the marines got out of the sub to the surface of the water- the game froze, then the whole screen went black, then crashed to the desktop.

I love the Crysis franchise so much, but you're breaking my heart Crytek. :(

I'm in the same boat sadly, game was working fine patch 1.8 but it keeps crashing with 1.9 and dx11, texture packages. My PC when it would play for a few minutes was getting 50 plus frames. No idea whats causing the crashes. Was hoping to play tonight.

Well, you can at least play for some time, but I can't even load the level after patching to 1.9 and installing both packs! All I get during the loading of any level is just BSOD with atikmdag.sys (so it looks like graphic driver issue). My graphic card is not overclocked at all - Radeon 5970, latest (11.6) driver and every other game and 3D application works perfectly fine (and I already tried dozens of them). I should also note that I meet all requirements - 8GB RAM, Win 7 64bit, quadcore CPU (I7-2600K).

I'm expecting Catalyst hotfix in near future, meanwhile back to Alice...

same here

but i think it's a geforce 5xx GTX problem. my gtx 570 runs fine at crysis 2 and red faction armageddon in dx9 mode but both games crashes in dx11 mode.

my gigabyte 570 windforce runs at stock with 0,963V an this seems to low for some games espacially in dx11 mode.

gigabyte released a firmware update that raise the voltage to 1,013v on load but i didn't try out yet.

i think thats not crytekts fault.
