Slider for Dragon Frequency

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 9:58 pm

Seems logical that since some people find too many, and some too few, that there should be a slider to control the frequency of the random dragons.

I have found enough now where its getting a little bit silly. They certainly don't evoke any emotional response, its just another dragon. I've also heard mention from other people that they are level 30+ and have found less than 5 dragons. Seems this is a feature that could improve the game for everyone, and if you choose not to just leave the slider alone and the game is the same as previous.

Anyone else think this is a good idea? Will this be moddable (even though I use a console)?

Hmm. Not a bad idea. I do meet many dragons in so little time.
I have like 24 souls and only 15 shouts.

well honestly, when ever i dare to look up when im venturing there is bound to be a dragon.

seems i trigger ALOT of random encounters with dragons, seems they want to be slain, since im now lvl 24 there all blooddragons

and yeah it would be nice to somehow adjust the frequency when you just dont need them anymore, but i do like a good dogfight with a Ancient/elder/undead dragon tbh

100+ dragon bones 80+ scales yeah ...

Sliders for other things could be cool too.

For instance I have more gold than I could ever use so I would have gladly turned down treasure from the start so that finding treasure now would seem like... finding treasure..?

Or what if you could adjust the amount of wild life so that you don't have duke it out with ~12~ wolves (4 packs of 3) while traveling between Riften and Whiterun?

I am a consoler, I realize that PC users will probably be able to fix all of these things easily.

I would like it if there were less dragons but they were also tougher. Make the encounters epic ALso if there are too many when you fast travel a lot I would like that fixed too

WHen I began my second character I completely ignored the main quest at the begin to avoid being constantly harassed by dragons.

I am level 31 and have battled 2 named dragons and 19 regular dragons. No elders, blood dragons, etc.

It would say "Blood Dragon" and not just "Dragon", right? Or do they still say "Dragon" and have a different appearance?

Here's my 2 cents on this issue. I have noticed dragons only spawn near the burial sites. Go get the Dragon Burial Site map...that shows you were they are gonna be at. I've seen 3 dragons at once...looked at the map and there happened to be 3 burial mounds close to each other that somebody messed with. I've seen dragons that just sit there until you get close...all close to burial mounds. It's not all that random guys. And the dragons can fight like full on bosses if you want them too. That's why there is a difficulty setting ;) My biggest problem is that the bodies never go away and just spawn where ever they want to....sometimes in...odd ways lol. Last night I came out of a building and had one riding my horse :P Then once I was talking to a ncp and one fell on my head from the sky...>.> pretty annoying to have to watch out for dragon bones falling from the sky

Are Riverwood or Whiterun near a burial site? I'd guess 10 of my 21 kills have happened near those places. I know for sure I've had four kills inside of Riverwood.

I'm starting to believe there is something wrong with my game because the bones haven't stuck around.
