So Im playing as a Nord. Would it be completely and totally illogical to side with the Imperials? I just think the stormcloaks come off as idiots...

What do you guys think does it matter? Is either side's quests better?

Playing a High Elf, and as such haven't heard either side win me over enough to join up.

But I'm pretty certain there are some NPC Nords who are with the Imperials, aren't there? The Jarls seem somewhat divided.

There is a lot of Nord's who sided with the Imperials. Just pick what ever side you like best.

There are lots of Nords in the Imperial Army.

I've done both, and I enjoyed the Stormcloaks more. They both have identical quests, really, but Ulfric himself just makes the Stormcloaks that much more enjoyable. That and you don't get any kind of higher tier Imperial armour when you eventually move up the ranks. :c

If you ask around about it, you'll find a lot of Nords who see the need to remain part of the Empire. The best response that I got on the question (I forget which NPC gave it) was something to the effect of Skyrim can't be self-supporting. It needs the Empire as much as the Empire needs it. Kind of along the lines of a comment prior to the Unites States' civil war: South Carolina is too small for a country and too big for an insane asylum. First time I took sides, I went with the Empire. I'll probably try the other side on the next play-through.

No it would just be RIGHT to side with the STORMCLOAKS. But some Nords are traitors undeserving of the gift of human life and side with the Imperials.
