Has anybody seen my wife?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 5:40 am

Seriously, I just got married to that chick from Riverwood. She walked out before the end of the wedding ceremony and I haven't seen her since.

I've checked all around the temple, back to her brothers general store, and to my only house in Whiterun. She's not in any of those places.
Did she have second thoughts and run off before we even had a honeymoon?

She might be actually running back to her house. So either she'll be killed by wolves or she'll be there in a week. It's a weird bug I've seen before.

sometimes, after your wedding, if you fail to talk to your spouse before they leave the temple in riften they disappear forever (according to uesp). try reloading a previous save, redo the wedding, and talk to your husband or wife before they leave after the ceremony.

I've only gotten offers by men so far. I wonder if heterosixuality is just a lie...

You mean Ysolda? Her house is behind the potion shop, but I swear she was never in it when I was trying to hook up with her. You can usually find her in the market square.

Sorry, that's Whiterun.

Wait 25 hours and go back to the temple of mara and apologize to her, and schedule a new wedding at which your dead comrades won't show up.

Nothing in misc quests, nothing in main quests, and even nothing in completed quests even though it said 'Quest completed' at the ceremony...

I'm so confused.

I waited 25 hours, went back in and she was there confirming we're married and asked where we will live, so it's all sorted.

As an added bonus, I've installed the nvde patch and stolen her clothes, so my wife will now walk around the house naked, sweet!

Any ideas on how to get that to work in real life?

Oh I've seen her :hubbahubba:

Well, the same character in my game at least

Maybe she found out about all of those people you killed and was worried that she married a murderer. Now she is living in fear that you will kill her.
Or maybe it's just a glitch.

I had the same experience - she walked out while I still had no control over my character. I eventually found her again in the Temple of Mara.

Well, she's now slowly walking all the way from Riften to Whiterun.....naked.

I was going to walk along with her to make sure she gets home safely, but that's a bloody long walk at her pace.
I do love her, but not THAT much.

LOL

Glad I could help with your... Erm... Predicament.

EDIT: Fast travel to wherever you wanted her to move, she'll actually be in more danger if you follow her (enemy AI will be active, dragons and the like)

You can always open the console, click her, and type setessential 1 - and she won't die on you
