Two words, Quartermaster Bardon. The merchant at Hoover Dam. That dude sells so much .45-70 gov't ammo. After two massive purchases and at level 12, I now have over 1,000 .45-70 gov't SWC (hand load) ammo. I figure one more massive purchase between now and level 16 when I can get my hands on a brush gun. Then all those NCR folk are gonna die lol

Never been to him and I have plenty of Government Ammo. Of course hes the only place I've ever found enough ammo for my EW's character...

Great Khans Armorer also sells a good amount of .45-70 ammo. Not in the huge number the QM does, yet enough to keep killing NCR troopers.

I remembered to not kill any of the Khans at Boulder City this time around lol incase I need their armory later in the game. My last play through, all the trade merchants at 188 Trading Post got killed during the Legion and NCR assassian ambushes. And I was villifed by NCR, Khans and Legion, so I was short on traders lol for that ammo anyways.

I take it you can't get the Brush Gun until level 16?
