Don't level scale ANYTHING!

I think the entire community is in agreement when we say that level scaling is a BAD thing. Thank God for mods like OOO and FCOM. It was like playing a whole new game without level scaling.

Level scaling is bad because:

1) Ruins incentive for exploring.
2) Takes away that "on edge" feeling when you are in an unknown zone or dungeon. In Oblivion you could pretty much go anywhere and feel secure.
3) It is the greatest feeling in the world to fight and epic battle where you are over matched, only to win it by pure luck/skill/etc and get an awesome reward like an artifact. If you level scale the artifact it ruins that experience.

If you actually voted yes to this I would like to hear one good reason...

Anything is too strong a statement. I wouldn't mind SOME things being leveled, as long as it isn't the infinitely scaling HP like in Oblivion. The scaling should take your offensive and defensive skills into account, and not just your level.

I had to vote YES. This poll is too strongly worded. I wouldn't mind random dungeons being level scaled. Actual set in stone loot shout not be.

Level scaling is stupid because it destroys all sense of accomplishment and literally gives you 0 incentive to advance your character.

Can you give a specific example please? I honestly can't think of anything I would like level scaled. Not loot. Not specific areas. Nothing.

Its fun not knowing what your going to encounter next and doesn't make you overpowered.
So I vote NO! to level scaling.

Level scaling just wasn't applied properly in Oblivion, but it's a good idea that can keep the game interesting and challenging at higher levels.

Now something I would not mind at all is TIME scaling. For example, an arch nemesis gets more and more powerful the longer you leave him unchecked. Now that would be cool. But err on the side of making it more difficult. Not easier.

You know what? I'd like leveled loot. Leveled backwards. Yeah, if you're lower level your rewards should be greater for clearing out a more difficult dungeon. There are a few problems I can think of with it, right off the bat, but I have solutions for them.

You should not be getting a grandmaster alchemy set off of a level 2 kobold.

Isn't it more fun to seek out a distant land that is rumored to have rare and powerful tools, but powerful enemies to boot?

Random dungeons. Perhaps there could be a level range for certain areas, but the fact is with a game as large as TES games they aren't likely going to be crafting each and every dungeon individually from the ground up with balanced rewards. If its anything like Oblivion there will be dozens and dozens of ruins and such to explore. Some of them they can have designed carefully from the ground up, but others can be just meant for someone to explore at any time. Without any level scaling, some dungeons/ruins/etc will be worthless as you level. In Oblivion when moving from place to place I'd randomly explore a ruin or dungeon or cave, and there was usually something relevant for me. That's why I support some scaled content, though not all of it should be. I do not think specifically named items or quest items should be.

id like a small amount of level scaling, but in a logical way, like extra wolves in a pack or more soldiers in a patrol. i dont want enemies getting better armour or becoming stronger as i level up, or even being replaced
