New DX11 Features

Hey i just tired the new patch and the texture DLC.

my first question is: I dont have any tesselated Walls or something else in MP but in SP it works fine and looks good
2. The real time reflections doesnt work everywhere? because i can see some real time reflections in some MP maps or in SP but not everything what should reflect something reflects the real time (but all reflections i saw looked great!)
3. I dont noticed the new textures because i dont compared them right yet but i dont have to start a 64-bit exe or?

1. in MP most of the DX11 options are disabled
2. RTR only reflects specific areas
3. and no there is no x64 .exe

I don't think the texture pack is whitelisted for MP. It might be something Crytek have to look into because I think this affects everyone(?).

Since we don't have the editor yet, it would also be hard to say if textures have to be specifically set up for real time reflections. It wouldn't have surprised me if you do because that'll probably be the reason for that not working everywhere. It would've taken a lot of time for them to add them for every surface.

You must have a 64 bit OS installed for the high-res textures. The 32 bit exe for Crysis 2 is compiled to use wide address spaces.

1. wasn't a question! but lemme ask you one, do you really think you got the time to stare at walls to find them to be tesselated or not, or would you rather want your FPS to be high?
2. Not every shader/asset got updated with real time reflections. You will still find alot of cubemap reflections for glass and water surfaces. Its a good mix between the both of them and the night levels with real time reflections look damn impressive.
3. Nope just start the game as you are used to, you just need a 64 bit OS.

I want the option. Just like we have the option in single player, I believe the OPTION should be available in multiplayer.

If it's there in SP already, why not MP?
