Missing Meshes & CTD on loading area

I there, I have a pretty complete FCOM+BetterCities+UniqueLandscapes installation, and I seem to be having a few missing meshes surrounding the Imperial city sewer exit.

Running through the tutorial dungeon was fine, but on exiting the game crashes if I walk more than 100 metres. I have not read every readme, but I have read the majority of readme's for complex mods (Deadly Reflexes, Better Cities, etc.)

On an unrelated note, what is the quickest way to do TES4Edit cleaning. I tried cleaning one plugin, but it takes about 2 minutes to go through and deactivate all the other plugins (there is no select-all option), which is a pain in the [censored].

Right click anywhere on the mod list when TES4Edit starts up, choose "Select None", then individually select however few you like. You can also "Select All", and "Invert Selection" the same way. :)

I'll have a look now, to see if I can spot the actual (bigger) problem. Edits will follow, should I find anything.


edit: Gosh, so many mods to look through... also, a number of them, I don't recognise. :shrug: Well, it seems you have two versions of Duke Patrick's Script Effect Silencer, neither of which you need if you use the Bashed Patch option anyway - certainly though, having two is unnecessary. Have you renamed the MMM bsa file as directed, per FCOM's instructions? I think you have some FCOM options there that are not needed, redundant, or something-or-other, but I'm not totally sure - best to check the current FCOM release thread's OP, carefully, just in case. But either way, shouldn't be game-wrecking. Have you read Unnecessary Violence's readme file? This one is absolutely VITAL to read. More than any other I can think of. Do you have all the requirements for every mod (e.g., obse plugins, etc.)...? Er, that's all I can think of for now... No wait, you have two versions of the Barrowfields patch for BC - use one! (the right one...) Actually, what I suggest is, running the latest BOSS, with an updated masterlist, from within Wrye Bash, and reading the bosslog.html that will pop up in your browser. Thoroughly. Because, things like the above, it should tell you anyway.

edit2: The best way to go about things is carefully and patiently - one or two mods at a time, then test that the setup works OK; rinse and repeat. Until you know your way around things like FCOM++, perhaps. But even then...

I went through the FCOM install pretty throroughly, so I don't think the problem is there. I've removed Duke Patrick's Script Silencers (both). MMM.bsa has been renamed to FCOM_Convergence_Mart's Monster Mod.bsa.

I also discovered that Lutherane is incompatible with UL Colovian Highlands, so I have now disabled Lutherane.

I definitely went through the Unnecessary violence readme (or I would die as soon as the game starts), but I'll look over it again.

I definitely went through the Unnecessary violence readme (or I would die as soon as the game starts), but I'll look over it again.

Ah, my mistake there - I misread the ToD. ;)

So many people make that mistake (with UV) - well, just don't read readmes in general - so, congrats there.

I have a feeling there's something obvious that should leap out at me in that load order, but like I said, this is why it's FAR better to go one by one, or thereabouts - the process of deduction becomes vastly easier.

Apparently, Natural Vegetation is "buggy" (not my word, just borrowin') - and Enhanced Vegetation is almost always suggested to replace it. Just a minor thing, if that. Still looking.

Should "Stealth Overhaul" and "Stealth Overhaul, Cobl" be there together? And again, I imagine bosslog.html would pick this up, if indeed it is an error...

The game appears to not be crashing in the same area if I disable all of Unnecessary Violence, Deadly Reflexes and Item Interchange - all three of those seem to individually crash the game.

Stealth Overhaul Cobl, requires Stealth Overhaul - But I'm going to get Stealth Overhaul 1.4 which is incompatible. I'll replace Natural Vegetation too.

Deadly Reflexes seems to definitely be causing some of the crashes. I'm experiencing far less crashes without it installed.

I'm also getting an error that HUD Status Bars needs MenuQue to be installed, but I have MenuQue installed.

Also I have a problem that I imagine is something to do with OBGE Liquid Water, but basically the water level is at different heights when viewed from different positions:

Hm. Could you post your obse.log, just out of curiosity? Well, that and it might prove useful (for you in the end, I mean). ;)

I'm wondering what version of obse you're using, apart from anything else. Also, what version of menuque. And so on.

As for Liquid Water, that's a well-established problem - check out the Liquid Water thread's OP, and you'll see a few things that are still issues, but which in some cases will be resolved, and in others, may be.

edit: Long story short, if you're not using http://obse.silverlock.org/, you should be. But even if you already are, the obse.log file might provide further insight.

Item Interchange should be merged only! You could try OBMMs feature to reset BSA timestamps. If you see a lot of landscape tearing, try Land Magic. With so many different global and game setting edits being made with all your mods (DR, Stealth, etc) one is bound to conflict with the other. TES4Edit won't be able to read scripts thru for errors, or conflicts. CS extender can help with those, has a feature to look for some common scripting mistakes. Try OSR, has been under development and now is going GPL/open source its heap replacer.

From the screenies of water height, your Heightmap is needing that Land Magic spell.

You've got a ton of errors relating to Duke Patrick's Combat Archery in that log file - that's probably a large part of your problem. Also, you can use FormID Finder to track down those missing meshes.

MenuQue is also not registering as loaded in the OBSE log, so you need to check that one again. The game is correctly reporting to you that it's not installed.

As far as tes4edit, you have to do the cleanings one mod at a time. There is no shortcutting. You can however double-click the mod you want to clean, or do as BP suggested.

Do yourself a massive favour by dropping either FCOM or TIE.
The latter confilcts with a couple of FCOM dungeons plus it's leveled lists and spawns.
It is not currently supported or recommended by Team FCOM.
There is also a game breaker during "the Path of Dawn" part of the main quest when using them together.
Choose one or the other, but not both.
