Which biome do you prefer?

I'm not asking which you like best, simply which you like more out of the two.

Yes I have played minecraft, and yes I know what those are, I just didn't find your comment on those to be constructive as to why you like either Pine or Autumn better.... In Skyrim.

If the lower elevation is pine, the higher elevation should be as well. Pine is a cold weather tree, oak and maple are warmer weather.

Well, do to some lore related magic that I don't want to disclose, both of these areas are rather warm year-round. It hasn't snowed in these areas in 400 years. Now, there are specifically snowy areas, but those will either have pine trees or no trees at all. There should be no snowy places with Oak, Maple, or Birch; and if there are, they will be dead.

I prefer the pine forests.

The autumn forests looks too much like Australian scrub forests near where I live and this time of year, it's 30c+ in those areas (35c+ in Dec-Feb). It's kind of an immersion killer to go from what appears to be tropical to what should be arctic.

They're both unique and nice, but obviously ones dark and the other is light (flashy. Both well done imo.

I quite like the autumn forest, but if I build a house mod for myself, I might actually put it in the barren, craggy Reach. There's just something appealing about that area.

While both are good, I love pine. Pine forests in reality are my favorite forests, as they are in game. Something about pine forests just resonates with me. Among the impressions pine forests give me are those of the north, mountains, brisk temperatures and adventure. All of this screams Skyrim to me, though other forests are cool too.

Autumn Forest. I don't dig that specific colour of green in the Pine Forest, it's too dull.
Which is one of the reasons I loved Oblivion, for being positive. c:

While I agree that the colors are dull, there are times when it has a really dramatic powerful effect. I have a picture of my guy cooking in the forest, in the rain. It's dark and cloudy and bleak and really looks cool.

I'm making my own land; A DLC sized mod that adds and island, and I'm trying to decide what kinda of biome to make part of it.

Pine has creeped me out since I read that thread about the wood cutter's wife.

I prefer the autumn forest... the only really pretty place in the game, in my opinion. Ah, but I get the most framerate dips in that region, unfortunately. :nope:
