My apologies if this has already been covered, I searched but didn't see anything that spoke to this issue specifically. I'm 122 hours in and have decided to get around to marrying someone, the only problem is noone's noticing the amulet of mara. I want to marry Aela, and I've done 'Glory of the Dead', hell, to make doubly sure I did 10-15 companions quests after Glory of the Dead, and she still doesn't have any marriage text popping up. Went and checked Ysolda, to make sure it wasn't a singular issue with Aela (I gave her a mammoth tusk), and still no marriage text. Any ideas? Anyone have this problem occuring?

Did you speak to the priest at the temple of Mara first? I think you have to have the conversation with him before the option can pop up.

Thank you very much. I did 19 straight companion quests with Aela, thinking somewhere along the lines the issue would clear up or that I just hadn't done enough of them yet. Ugh. Strange an entire day passes during the ceremony and yet the Priest is only talking for about 45 seconds heh.

Seriously though, I would've kept on doing those freekin quests, which begs the question....exactly who is letting Saber Cats, Wolves, Cave Bears and Hagraven's past the gate in Riften? And how are they getting into the bed and breakfast after that???
