I play without the cross-hair. It's easy to get used to. Always place the arrow on what you want, and then aim slightly to the left of said placement. Well what do ya knowwww?
And if the reticule were red on white, instead of white on white, I could see it better. In real life, the cross-hair is always was dark, for exactly the reason that light on light is harder to see than dark on light. In OTHER GAMES the cross-hair reticule is dark to facilitate sighting on a light background. Changing the site from white to red or black, would likely take 10 minutes of attention from just 1 of the team of programmers. And could be implemented with the forthcoming DLC.
Why are you 3 against it?
It is a good idea, because, in real-life, it is always used in that way. The way you view the game, with your eyes, it supposed to simulate REAL life. What is the point of being able to select it (turn it on) in the settings, if it still doesn't work right when you do? If you don't want to use it, fine. If you do want to use it, get it right.
