Question: Does difficulty level rule experience gained?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 3:00 am

If I set it to the easiest level, will I gain more experience or if I set to hardest I get less? I've been wondering since if you play on the easiest, you kill everything so much faster and end up using less skills. Now if you play the hardest, you have to use more abilities for a longer time since it takes longer to kill everything.

Perhaps someone knows the answer to this.

Higher difficulty = tougher enemies = more XP gained from slashing or burning them.

Also they hit harder so more Armor XP, etc.

As I feared. As a completionist maniac I will have to play on Master then, as I want to get all my skills high. But perhaps it scales better too, that when you get better at your skills, you will have an easier time later in the game, even if you play on Master.

I think that's where BS got it wrong. The higher the difficulty the less XP should be awarded. People are able to level too fast. The game is a skilled based game. At Master difficulty where it takes you longer to kill something, less xp should be awarded instead of more. Which results in a slower skill progression. My experience with the game has shown me that it's actually easier to level on the higher difficulty levels as I have to use my skills more than I would on lower difficulty settings. In other words they are awarding more xp instead of less. That doesn't make sense.
