My battle with the dragon today

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 4:45 am

first of all i would like to point out that this game IS quite easy as hell and im lvl 52 can kill a dragon under 10 hits with a bow.

I was at the peak of the snow mountain, fast traveled there and saw a dragon flew by, i grabbed my bow and engage in combat. oddly it was a fire dragon oh snowy mountain peaks, and then omg! the fire breathe can kill me in one hit and the fireballs it shoot out are also fatal, my healing was not fast enough for it even, normally i can even tank dragons just by putting heal on. my partner sword maiden from soliute with full ebony +hp+hp regen and fully upgrade dies in 1 bite! this dragon was a BOSS! i have died about 20 times fighting this thing, my armor is almost the same as my partner except without hp enchant stuff. most the time i just die i cannot find cover fast enough, also as like all dragon they can do 360 in the air like nothing to show off, this one flew through rocks, picked up my partner on its back and dropped her in the sky and incapacitated her, i stood and O.O, this dragon is a stone cold killer, must be one of the beta test AI prototypes.

even as a high level with most skills max, i can say i did not stand a chance fighting this thing, with something like this lurking in skyrim puts fear into my heart.

Level 81, i had an Ancient Dragon and a Blood dragon attack me at the same time, it took a lot of health potions to bring them down. Its freaking insane. For the first time i was actually nervous, excited, really had adrenaline as i was fighting for my life

Yeah I had an interesting encounter with a dragon today also. Equipped 60% frost resist neck & ring, & me being a nord I sat down & drank some mead while the frost dragon chilled it for me while attempting to kill me. Cliffracers 2.0

I find the easiest way to deal with strong dragons is Marked for death shout. Hit them with marked for death, run and hide behind something that blocks the breath attacks. Repeat as necessary. It takes about 3-4 three word Mark hits to take their max HP down to one hit level. It would also behoove you to max up on resists. Each dragon only uses one major type of damage, getting that resist to 75/90 or higher is quite easy. (Shield, ring, amulet, boots)

Those random dragons that appear are a piece of cake for me now.. am level 39 and blast them out of the sky with 6 / 7 arrows from my fire-enchanted Daedric bow that deals 86 dmg (excl. enchant power).
Funny to think back to my first dragon encounter - lol.

that is what i thought too! "sign, another dragon, alright let's get this over with" but then what happens? "sign, another adventurer, alright let's get this over with"
