Smithing question Legendary > Epic?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:03 am

Coming from a long line of RPGs I'm used to:

Epic > Legendary or Fabled > Legendary

In Skyrim when during my first play-through I was around level 60 smith I was able to make a full set of Epic steel plate. I then restarted and now that my Smithing is around 80 I can make a set of Legendary steel plate but I can upgrade the thieves guild armor only to Epic.

I'm a bit confused on how things work in Skyrim, so I thought I'd ask which is the higher class of armor.

The reason is that you have no Perk to increase leather to Legendary.
You can only create legendary items where you have Perks.

So if you have a point in Dwemer and the skill, you can make legendary.

Last but not least. You should not be able to make legendary items until you have 100.
Are you on PC and using some mods or what?

I'm on ps3, level 82 smithing at the moment, and created (or upgraded actually) legendary glass equipment basically as soon as I bought the perk. I was using a 15% better smithing ring so IDK.

I did have the steel perk during the first play-through I spent perks in smithing as I unlocked them.

Second play-through I used a mod so I have 100 with all perks.

Pretty sure he meant the leather perk, of which there isn't one. The tree starts off with steel so that makes sense.

Even though I was of the opinion that taking the steel perk meant it and everything below it.

Lmfao. A "mod"? Sounds like cheating to me you basically are everything instead of having strengths and weaknesses like a true human being. Aaaah sod it.

True true. Forgot about people still using this to ruin the game experience.

Talk about ruining the game experience, utterly.

I could imagine if you want to do this, to do it for the first play through.

Trust me, Skyrim is best played without any secondary professions, as its then very challening.
