Tone mapping compromises the quality of the textures?

I noticed yesterday that my textures looks blurry at distance.

anyone know this?

Do you have post processing on ultra? If so turn it to extreme. There was some mention of a post processing dof bug on ultra.

The issue is actually that "Anisotropic Filtering" is bugged with patch 1.9, which means that any texture at a skewed angle, and even at a slight distance will be blurred.

I've both heard it, and seen it. (And I do know how it looks when it's OFF.)

I confirm the above, it was mentioned in the known issues of Patch 1.9, if running on DX9. Tested it yesterday, compared screenshots and yes, it's true: no anisotropic filtering, you have to force it via the GPU drivers.
