Best Light Armor - A unique? or Crafted + Enchanted?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 2:20 am

Just wondering what the "best" light armor is for assassin types?

Would it be the Dragonscale Legendary Enchanted with + Stats to Whatever I'm using? or Would it be a combination of found and questline Light armors like the Ancient Dark Brotherhood set and Nightengale Set?

Also, is there any way to enchant a Dragonscale legendary peice with the "wearer moves silently" bonus? or the "+sneak %" bonus?

I'm trying to flesh out my assassin in my playthrough and I'm not sure after reading all the forums is the best way to go.

Also curious if I have 100 skill in light armor, and enchant a piece of Dragonscale legendary with +15 light armor....does it give any real benefit? like...effectively giving what would be the 115 skill lvl of bonus? or does it cap?

Unless armor skill is different (I haven't tested) it should keep giving you benefit at over 100 skill level.

You can get a +sneak% enchant, not sure on the move silently one. Don't think that you can disenchant uniques for their properties.

Crafted+Enchanted is hands down the best.

You can put 160% damage to a weapon type with player made enchants, more if you use found potions to boost enchanting, and even more if you're an actual alchemist and use enchanting to buff alchemy and so on.

Kind of absurd how powerful enchanting is even without exploits.

The cap on armor is 567. If +15 to an armor skill boosts your armor rating over that, it'll be worthless. If it doesn't, it'll be doing something.

Yes you can find the muffle enchantment... It's just rare. But I wouldn't try looking for it... lol just know it's out there and pick it up when you see it. "shhh" I think the game hides the things you look for.... Lol

Muffle is worthless, all you need is the Unhindered perk.

And Shrouded Armor has better stats than Dragonscale.
