SOLUTION:Saving/opening .cry files

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 8:36 am

Hi, i noticed i couldnt open any maps upon opening the editor, although i managed to quickly fix it, heres how.

Online you can download something called "Take Ownership" this makes an addition to the registry so when you right click any file or folder you are given the option to select "Take Ownership" have FULL access to all its contents.

Visit the below link and "Take Ownership" of the C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis 2 folder.

Voila! hope this helped anyone who also had this problem.

Follow the instructions in the text box of the warning. It lists the path to the key with the problem value. So open your registry editor and go to said key and then change the value of it.
