What Happens After Level 50?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 1:49 pm

I'm just curious as to what happens after level 50. I hear that you can continue leveling, just the bar doesn't boost as much from skills leveling up. Do you still continue to gain perks and can you you still increase a stat 10 points?

No I have no idea.
I actually I lie I'd guess you'd continue to level up like on Oblivion but there might be a Fallout style cap on it.

Leveling becomes slower, the hard cap is 81. You can't level past 81 because at 81 all skills are at 100. But it's a VERY long and hard grind to get there. The only people who have done it so far are people who have not stopped playing since release, or people who have cheated via console commands or abused glitches with Oghma Infinium.

You still get perks but you don't get magicka, health or stamina

Yeah this isn't true. You still get 10 points for Magicka, Health, or Stamina every time you level up just as before. And after 50, it's not THAT much harder to level up. As in, you don't hit a brick wall, its just the higher your skills, the harder it is to level.

i'm 51 without trying to level up, if you just play a varied character it's not an issue, i'm maxed out on sneak, one-handers, light armor, smithing, lockpicking and over 50 in everything but alteration, conjuration, illusion, and pick-pocketing and the levels are coming a normal pace still (least it feels like it). and yes you do get the 10 point boosts still.

side-bar:
I kind of wish they would let some of the skills continue after 100 (smithing, enchanting, alchemy) but just make it more difficult
