What the f-.. Why the he-.. Mages. -__-

So I'm one of those hardcoe roleplaying types and I was currently roleplaying an Imperial grunt. After clearing out Fort Haragstead (yeah, I was only THAT far... Level 2 for Chrissakes!), I was walking down the path back towards Solitude. Out of no where Some Dumner jump out of no where in black robes and started blasting me with Frost spells like it was the [censored] Ice Age. Of course, my character's first instinct was to try and block the attacks, but two nonstop streams of ice coming at you... you can guess the result. So my character dies, and as I stated before; hardcoe roleplayer here, so dead means dead. So who the [censored] were those guys? Just some random Dumner [censored]s who felt like turning me into a Popsicle because my armor wasn't shiny enough for them or what?

You did polish your armor before you left the cave right?

so you're complaining about being a 'hardcoe' player that plays 'dead means dead'? Skyrim wasn't made to be a game like that, that was your own choice.

edit: actually I take that back, Skyrim IS a game made to play anyway you want...so you died playing dead is dead, that's what happens...

Random casters. Instead of melee bandits you got images. They're all over the place. You have to boost some magic resistance.

Why of cour-... You know what? I think it surpassed my thoughts when I had that intense battle with the bandit's leader... Hmph, the armor-police strike again! Maybe I was on fire, and they were just being nice and trying to put out the fire... But instead they turned my lungs into push-pops.

I think the moral ok playing Skyrim is to think or Clint Eastwood in A Fistful of Dollars.
He turns up in this crappy border town with his grubby poncho and his slow old mule and they laugh at him. The further into the film we get the more badass Clint appears.
So what I'm trying to say is most random enemies will wipe the floor with you first off say you've got to train yourself up a bit first.

Because you know how Skyrim's "meant to be played." Enlighten me, Todd Howard.

EDIT: Yeah, I know this. -__-.
It's a bit more immersive, to me, to play this way. Unless you LOVE MAKIN' YOU SOME NEW CHARACTERS, you gotta watch your step. But this was... kind of unavoidable, in a way. I could've ran, sure. But if you just cut down a fortress of bandits, would you run from two Hepatitis B carrying snowball mages? Hell to the no! I fight for my dignity! Often lose, but fight nonetheless!

What? The point is that you died playing 'dead means dead' and you're angry and throwing a fit. If playing 'hardcoe' bothers you so much, don't play like that (aka, reload your last autosave).

He is playing just as you do. He is 30+ hours into the game without dying. Level 15.

Watch and learn.

Edit: He is playing on Adept, khajiit thief.

Just your average Charles Manson looking mage wearing black robes with some type of Breton or Nord traveling not too close behind in similar attire. I thought they had an imprint on the front, but it could've just been the texture of the robe. Not quite sure, had a shield up most of the time.

Not trying to be harsh, but are you stupid? I'm sharing what happened and curious as if it were random mages or an organized cult after my character for some reason (i.e. the Dark Brotherhood, as they kind of looked the part; but I merely got a glance.) I don't mind restarting, hell I like it sometimes.

The point is that he was asking about who the mages were, not complaining about Dead Is Dead.

I know your pain zead is dead is painfull and in such behavior its hard not to train block with mudcrabs just to raise levels.

What lack in skyrim ultimately to the hardcoe RPG like us is dialogue.
You get near a place people get hostile drawing weapon or just try to kick your ass. Really blind [censored] setting.
you don t know who they are, you can t even try to convince them you want to join them or whatever.
Its hard not to go Postal and put an arrow in the ass of any muthafocka that appear on the screen in a shoot first ask later.
There are SO MANY small faction its really wasted time and potential that you can t do anything but go zombie mind with them.
Bethesda count on the comunity to polish the game, whati hope the modders can do something about it.
It would really be interesting for example to join the comunity around the red eagle (if thats the name) setting, and i can only go FPS on them, because they try to kick my soft butt no matter what or who...
