patch 1.9 causes black screen can hear game and see mouse : Crysis

Help i dont know what to do after updating to patch 1.9 i click to load the game, it loads and then all i see is the mouse cursor and hear the ea and nvidia logo running in the background!

My specs should work i have an amd phenom II x6 3.2 8 gigs of ram and windows 64 bit ultimate and hd 6870

the funny thing is if i dont update to the patch 1.9 everything works fine

yes my video drivers are all up to date

I had the same problem. Ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the game to correct the problem. Just ran the game even without the 1.8 patch.
