Follow the road to the nearest town, and wait next to the blacksmith. Your suppose to stay with the Imperial dude until he says otherwise.

You can pick up missions anywhere, almost-- just ask around and speak to NPCs.

If you actually want to follow the main quest, go to your Journal and look for 'Before the Storm' (I think that is the name)-- it will point you in the right direction. Unfortunately I forget the town's name Riverwood, or Riverview or something; I tend to just breeze through... It is slightly up-and-right of Helgen where you started.

You can follow a Stormcloak guy out of Helgen, too. Once you leave the tutorial area, you can go wherever the hell you want.

Do whatever you want. Btw I saw your earlier posts. Follow the arrow at the top of the screen. That tells you where to go.

The first mission starts in river wood. U just follow the road from where u came out of the cave.. If u followed the imperial out of "prison": Talk to the blacksmith and tell him who sent u. If u go the pause menu u can activate and deactivate quests, side quests and misc quests to show on the map. Also, the 300 hours is NOT just the main quest..its a ton of smaller quests as well. Just talk to people all over the place and u will soon have hundreds of things to do... The more u just walk from place to place the more fun things u will find. Good luck :)

I can't see why going to Riverwood AKA your first objective is so hard. Disappointing that Riverwood still couldn't be found after 90 minutes of exploring.

I don't think he's a troll but looking at his other posts he looks like a kid he strayed from the path of COD.
No offence dude but this game seems a bit deep for you.
