Crysis 2 64 Bits

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 5:30 am

Hi, I recently put a 64-bit OS, because I buy a new processor, But Crysis 2 in the Directory, the folder "Bin64" doesn't exist, only "Bin 32". My OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit. Thanks

crysis 2 only has a 32bit executable with largeaddressaware flag that makes the executable able to access up to 4g memory limited by address pointer.
without that flag a single 32bit executable can only allocate 2G memory. another 2G memory address is reserved to system.

^^thats only for the editor. the game does not have native 64bit support. Just an exe with a largeaddressaware flag enabled.

1) Steam ≠ Crysis
2) The two folders are purely for orginisation, it's the only way to differentiate when the programs aren't specifically marked.

Nice try though, Son.

th x86 folder is 32bit.
No it isn't.

It's a folder with a name
A different name to 'Program Files'

32bit and 64bit programs can be installed to either. The folders aren't magically restricted.

x86 is 32 bit windows and the x86 directory contains 32 bit programs that you are loading and running your 64 bit OS. When you install a program it should install itself in the correct directory.

This. I installed Crysis 1 in the x86 folder, but play the x64 version. umad?

The name is only for organization. But it is true that Crysis 2 does not have a 64bit executable, so stop searching for one.

How do you launch the 64bit version?

How do you launch the 64bit version?
Crysis->Bin64>Crysis.exe

Or it could be Crysis64.exe

I forget

why is this even an argument? there is no x64 version of crysis 2. the 64bit folder is for the editor. Get it? Good.

What are you quoting me for? It is only logical that a 32bit application is installed in the x86 folder. However, it is entirely possible to install any type of application (32bits or 64bits) in any directory I want, if the option is available at the setup.

Thank you come again.

Okay wiseass, uninstall Crysis 2, uninstall SandBox3, delete Crysis 2 folder. Reinstall Crysis 2, install patch 1.9 and highress and DX11, NOW CHECK AGAIN! NO BIN64 FOLDER.

Install Sandbox3 ZMOGWTFHAX BIN64 FOLDER IS THERE!

Also, if you were to open up that BIN64, you'd see there's nothing that will run the game. The BIN64 folder is only used for Sandbox 3 (as of right now).
