I would like to see the following in Fallout 4:
1.) Military style movement animations for combat. Every soldier and everyone with common sense knows how to "hit the dirt" and take cover when under fire. So why is this not possible in current Fallout games? Currently you can only crouch a little using sneak mode, but you can′t do a simple thing like going prone and crawling. In Fallout 4 I would hope to see a fix to that problem.
I would suggest that Bethesda take influences from different military simulations like the Armed Assault series by Bohemia Interactive. You could have the following movement modes; Walking with weapon at low-ready and high-ready, Running (weapon cannot be at high-ready when running, also consumes stamina/fatigue points, it′s unrealistic to have the character run non-stop for days without any sign of being out of breath, being out of breath affects aiming like in ARMA series, you must wait for your character to catch his/her breath to aim accurately), Sprint (runs extra fast but consumes stamina/fatigue points rapidly), Sneak (at low skill levels can only move very slowly, but with high skill or with a perk can eventually run silently), Prone (character gets down and crawls, being prone gives a bonus to aiming as you have a more stable position, you are also harder to detect when prone, allows you to take advantage of natural cover in a firefight).
2.) Unarmed combat animations. Instead of just punches, you could have different sorts of kicks and all sorts of Martial arts moves (at higher skill levels). In VATS it would be easy to choose what type of punch or kick you would like to execute and in normal mode you could have a button switching from punches to kicks (and grapples, chokes etc.) and another button which would be the "master weapon mode button" (Space Bar for example) to switch from one punch or kick style to another.
Ok, there′s my ideas for animations. Now others can post theirs.
