1.2 and me

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 4:13 am

Look, I'm not here to discredit anyone's glitches. In fact I believe almost all of you guys and I can't feel more sorry for you, it svckS....I just wanted to make a post, so that, at least, it can be KNOWN that patch 1.2 has actually worked for SOMEONE. I'm just doing this in the interest of the Skyrim community. I believe we can only help by each of us stating what our unique situation is and what we're dealing with.

xbox 360 slim 250 GB

Although I'd expected some textures to be better, 1.2 DID fix alot (but not all) of the texture issues (this has been stated I know). Snow still svcks, and I don't think that's gonna change......ever......not on 360 at least.

The main problem I was having with the game, and it's a sentiment rarely echoed on the forums, is I wasn't seeing random dragons, at ALL...... and the dragons I DID see perched on top of word walls never scaled. (lvl 30 and still only ever seeing Black Dragons). This has been fixed for me. The only REAL problem I had with the game (besides spell creation which is a design decision) has been fixed with 1.2.

I have had NONE of the problems that others are reporting with the 1.2 patch. This is not to say YOU won't have them.....I just want to let people know, people that are perhaps curious but don't want to take risks, that there is a guy out there (me) who hasn't had problems with 1.2.

That said, 1.2 was obviously a failure, and needs to be fixed. I can only hope Microsoft and Sony don't have to take 2 more weeks to "Certify" the fix for the 1.2 *fix*.

Good night.

I thought I was having issues when it first installed 1.2 but the more I play the more I change my mind, it is actually better for me, at least. I'm an ancient XP user so I get the small bits of lag associated with XP and dual core cpus, but other than that I've not had too many bad things yet.

I don't notice much of a difference on the PC. The shop menus still exit when I click on a catagory. Everything is working pretty much as it was. It will be nice when they really patch the game, and not just this "has to be done" type of patch. I'll be waiting for the "this should really be done" patch I expect out before Spring Break.

Thanks for saying so. It appears we are DEFINITELY in the minority, but I believe it helps to get the word out.
