As always, being able to choose from multiple, branching and diverse paths would be great:
- Good #1: Appeal to the best in folks, from lowly citizens to key politicians, in order to abolish slavery and procure a reparations package. Reward: A possible follower amongst the freed people, and a special perk.
- Bad #1: Take the opposite stance by pushing for even harsher and expanded slavery laws. Reward: Citizenship and a residence with a 'servant' of your choice.
- Good #2: Help them escape to New Vegas! Reward: They will scatter throughout the NV area and when you happen upon them you'll get a minor quest, simple reward, or gain a follower (the same one from the very first option).
- Bad #2: Deliver them even further into bondage via the hands of a nearby, ruthless slaver gang. Reward: Money and a unique weapon.
- Good #3: Help the slaves revolt, with or without the help of citizens (less people die with the more citizens you've convinced prior to the fight). Reward: Citizenship, residence in the 'New' Vault City, and some quests to help the interim government.
- Bad #3: Convince the slaves to revolt, but turn your back by siding with the guards against them, slaughtering many and tightening the shackles on the others. Reward: A special perk and an evil guard as a follower.
*Appropriate karma/reputation boosts for each option. Also, the first set require high speech skills (and barter skill for the reparations), the second ones call for good sneak and speech to distract a guard or two if you don't want to stealth-kill them, and the third appears if you have sufficient combat skills and equipment.
Of course, there'd be numerous other side-quests besides all that.
New Arroyo could be a second expansion...so many possibilities there! :ahhh: :fallout:
