It's a shame that they didn't put the higher resolution/less compressed textures in, or at least the fixed normal maps.

Especially the normal maps suffer A LOT from the insane compression.

Thats actually a glitch/side effect from compression?

I always thought it was a optimization thing for consoles,and that smooth skin would be too processor heavy and they had to make everything blocky....I never knew PC's had it too.

According to PS3 users who already got the patch, it breaks more than it fixes. I'm definitely waiting for some feedback on the forum before I download the patch.

I'm on the PS3 and the lag is pretty much gone. I'm more than happy with it. The graphics are a little worse, but I really don't notice unless I look for it.

This patch has nearly ruined my experience! The game ctds now, when it never did before it was patched. I'm playing on PC via Steam. I can't find any pattern in what may be causing the crashes, sometimes it just crashes when my char is just standing there, sometimes it crashes when I fast travel, sometimes it crashes when I'm entering/leaving a building.

Is there an official bug/problem report area I can go to?

Are you using any mods? It seemed like quite a few (but not all) PC users with severe problems were running mods, and ditching the mods fixed things. Might wanna try that.

That being said, others have said that elemental resistances are not working at all with the patch, and that seems unrelated to any mod incompatibility. For some people it's game-breaking, for others it isn't even an annoyance.

Now I have lag AND worse graphics on the ps3. Best fix for lag I found was turning off all the auto saves.
