I've been questing and running around NCR camps for a while with no issue, but now all of a sudden they have a "shoot on sight" policy towards me. I've rolled back to previous saves, have put on non-faction gear, no gear and even with NCR gear they shoot me if i get too close. Even had a crimson caravan guard attack me from a distance and i've done quests for them as well.

Is there a precedent and/or fix for this?

Where are you in the main quests?
Cause I think that at some point the automatically become hostile against you.

If you have become a terrorist they shoot on sight, which faction are you working for atm.

If none try donning every faction armour you've worn taking it off again and putting it into a container.

As there is a glitch were it does not reset once taken off, sometimes, the same happened to me vis a vis CL reading me as wearing NCR trooper armour.

Check your rep stats if only a few show up rather than the massive full list of all those you've met, this will be the problem.

Umm. I'm working on G.I. Blues, running the radio codes around to the various stations, recently got the notes to go see their ambassador as well as the Render Unto Caesar quest that some random person gave me after Benny ran out of Tops Casino. Have the wild card quests, but haven't done any of them yet.

Go see the ambassador, all will be fixed in about 3minutes.

Well, I talked to the ambassador and changed various faction armors, still had bunch of NCR MP's with their cattle prods trying to beat me down. If it still persists after I'm gone long enough for cell to reset, I'm just going to have to write it up as a rather annoying glitch.

Again have you worn any faction armour like caesars legion, Khan or powder ganger in all the time you've played NV.

If so, reload an earlier save find the faction armour put it on again, take it off again check your faction rep menu..

Head to the nearest NCR area and see if they're hostile now.

I've done that. Just got too close to an NCR patrol and lost rep for defending myself.

Sorry this fixed it for me, did you try all faction armours not just one?

If it's the same bug it has to be the same faction type armour.

I.e if you wore CL armour took it off and the bug happened, putting on NCR armour and taking it off won't help.

When mine popped up I wore NCR armour, I tried talking to CL in recruit armour but when spotted they turned hostile.
Untill I warped out, killed a N?CR trooper wore his armour took it off and headed back.

If you've not got a save before talking to House and killed some NCR members since it won't work either, you need to load up before House.

I'm not sure which armor i was wearing when glitch started, only that i was in random leather armor when I noticed a problem; I cleared out vault 22 for the doc at mcclarren but when I fast traveled there, (yes i cheated ) the ncr guys opened fire on me. I've tried putting on some legion armor, powder ganger armor, great kahn armor and ncr armor. NCR armor only helps if i dont' get too close to their guards then they go from yellow dots to red in a hurry.

Do you still have a load from 22 before they started shooting?
If so try try the disguse fix from there with all of them, then check your faction rep.

Otherwise try this afterwards ( if on pc ) player. addreputation F43DE 1 100

Nope, my vault 22 save has been overwritten. Ty for the console command. I hope that fixes it if nothing else does.
