Cannot Edit Characters

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 8:25 pm

I do not know what I did, but I can no longer edit certain pieces of my character during creation....specifically, I cannot change the hair type. This is something new, as I have made many characters in the past and I was always able to edit each and every part of the face during creation. At one point, recently, I saw an icon in the top left portion of my interface that looked like a closed lock...so I assumed I had locked the edit ability by doing something. I restarted the game, the icon was gone, as it always has been in the past, however, I could still not change the hair on my character. I do add mods to my game, but I am not sure if I have added any since the last successful creation of a character. Therefore I am not sure if this is mod related or not.

Please respond if this has happened to you or you have a solution.

Thank you in advance.

That happens with Mannimarco Revisited if not using the fix, for example. So can happen if custom races are added to the char gen under certain circumstances (can't remember the technical reason). Anyway, if using MR be sure to grab the fix. A work around is to go in the other direction when choosing your race so the problematic race isn't one of the ones you "browse through".
