Travel Problem- RedRockCanyon-CarlsonCavern

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 6:19 am

I've been having trouble getting around to the north side, (hoping to find a way in), of RedRock Canyon and Carlson Caverns due to attacks by Legion Assasins. I first attempted RedRock Canyon at level 15 and got my butt kicked. I did some other missions and leveled up to 20, but the Legion is as bad as before. Any time I get near the northern perimeter to try to find a way, the Legion appears.

Is there another way into that area where I can avoid the Legion?
Do I need to level some more, or do the Legion guys level up as they spawn?
I have the badge thing Caesar gave me, but I got him PO'd at me. :(

Thanks for any tips.

The Legionary assassins level to 30, but by this point you should be able to handle them.

On a cartographic point...there is no northern entrance to Red Rock Canyon. You have to come from the south, through Bonnie Springs & Spring Mt. Ranch State Park. Follow the road past V19 to the West, or head due north from the Tribal Village. Well, technically there is a northern entrance, but it carries a long & involved trek from Jacobstown through a Cazador nest, so....

Head up the road that goes by the Goodsprings gas station, then turn West when you see the Burned Corpses. That will lead you to the Tribal Village, north of which is the State Park, north of which is Red Rock Canyon. Pack for Cazadors, Raiders, & Giant Mantis. And Legionary Assassins.

From Jacobstown: Work your way to outside the southern wall of the crater Jacobstown is located in, then follow the buzzing until you see a Cazador Nest & a dead Super Mutant with a Fat Man. Go West and then follow the only path on a roundabout journey to Red Rock Canyon. The Quest "Bleed Me Dry" can help you locate the Cazador nest.
