Foot Pedals?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:20 am

Anyone else using foot pedals for game control? I use them to activate armor, stealth, nanovision powers. Here's what I'm using.

If your pedals are recognized as a gamepad you could use Joy2Key http://www.gamefront.com/files/6358348/Joy2Key-v3.79---English/ or Xpadder http://www.soft82.com/download/windows/xpadder/ to assign a keyboard key to each pedal.

@achillespecies Those goggles are nice but these http://sensics.com/products/pisightSection/pisight_specifications.php are fricking wicked. 1920x1200 for each eye and upto a 187 degrees of horizontal vision depending on the model. I tried a pair out at CES and now I have a persistent wet dream involving them.

they are about 48 bucks with shipping. I'm about to trade them off to a gaming buddy for $20 and get this instead which will match what I use it for better and fit my gaming space less awkwardly.

The only real downsides to the Brando pedals is that the pedals are so far apart that you really only have access to 2 pedals instantly and the pedals can only send one input at a time so for example if your say using them for strafe left right and run you can't strafe left and run forward at the same time. One or the other but not both. So accidentally tapping one of them cancels the input from any of the others.

Just checked out that razor gaming exoskeleton looks like it could be amazing or not. Then again any product that comes with its own lube and warns against catastrophic fire if it's not used has to be great right:) Oh wait April fools.

@blutaar666
those look expensive... does it support 3d stereoscope vision?

@bigdaddy... how big are these pedals...
i like the idea of pedals, i play drums for a number of years now and my feet are rather used to the idea of pedals for control...

however, pressing a pedal cancelling out other keyboard inputs... thats not so good... or did u mean it cancels our the other pedal's input?

and the razor exoskeleton was a joke... but they did ask the fans if they wanted to see such a product in the future and let them know :P

let you know when they arrive as far as the Delcom pedals. Their site doesn't list the information correctly. I am however obviously not too picky as long as the hardware works as the Brando site is not the pinnacle of English language translation

The Brando pedals are
370 wide x 135 depth 40mm thick
or
14.6 inches wide x 5.3 inches depth x 1.6 inches thick
