Acronyms are BAD (Mod makers please read)

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:56 pm

Not much to say besides sorry, I was quite angry when I posted most (Edit: All) of those, if there was a way to un-post I'm sure I would. They all make me sound kind (Edit: Very much so like an idiot(Edit 2: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dolt )) of like an idiot. Sorry to any mod makers and just people who were offended by the way I was treating others. I was just quite mad because In most of the titles of mods there were acronyms and I didn't know what most of them meant. Thank you though for the resources to find out though. Sorry once more, not much more I can say beyond that. (Still think overuse of acronyms is alive, but could really care less about it.)

 @Zyther, it takes a good man to apologise.
Just a couple of small tips to help you on your way. Read the stickies at the top of the forum and browse some of the threads.
It's amazing how enlightening that can be. After that it's a good time to ask anything your still unsure about.

Welcome to modded Oblivion. If done properly it can be a helluva game.

Thanks Shikishima for the forgiveness, I had a rough start. And I know of others that don't give that as easily.

Also could anyone guide me to Francesco's Mod thread/troubleshooting area, I seem to not be able to get normal looking items. They're all invisible D:!

Missing textures and meshes. Maybe you missed a few required files?

Or not having either BSA redirection (via OBMM) or Archive Invalidation Invalidated (via Wrye Bash or on its own) not set.

Wow there are some good laughs in this one.

I have a bad insight and horrible suggestion that is meant totally as a joke:

Since there is a subset of mod authors that work toward better presentation, packaging, and compatibility they are spoiling mod users, who begin to take these qualities for granted. They also are making mod makers who want to create solely for their own pleasure look not so good. They need to be stopped.

It is the only way to curb whining mod users.

I haven't read the entire thread but I am pretty sure this wins it.

Bad argument, just a complaint about acronyms in names. I'm a little late to the game so I can't complain much. If a moderator reads this lock it up or something. Does not apply much.
