How come when I put something into the chatbox, it doesn't seem to appear on screen until 3 or 4 seconds later? Especially when my ping is like 50? This happens even in the lobby, and actually since 1.9 the chat in the lobby seems to be broken, nothing is showing up no matter how many times I type something into the box.

Yea it's quite awful chat ive seen in years. Probably to prevent spamming? still it doesnt prevent jacksht cuz no one even bothers using it. Very weird decision from Crytek MP team...

lol there are MUCH more effective ways to reduce spamming...if Crytek really made this to reduce spamming, then wow, just wow...

I think this is on purpose because even kills are shown with a delay of 2-3 seconds.

Exactly my point, this is more annoying than whatever good it was meant to do. It shouldn't be too difficult for Crytek to make a few easy changes and this game would be much less annoying, such as deleting the "Press Enter to Start" screen and implement automatic login, as well as the ability to skip all the damn logos.
