Tosh Raka

I have a few questions about http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Tosh_Raka and how he plays into the whole 'Dragons are back' Theme. When the dragons were put into their "Slumber" Was he as well? and if so does Alduin view him as Kin? I mean he truly isn't a real dragon, right? Can he use the Thu'um? or is there not enough information about him and his ways?

Don't think tosh raka could use thu'um and i doubt he was in a slumber since hes not from around here. Tosh raka is an real dragon, the largest one on nirm, bigger then alduin but don't know if hes as powerful.

I meant 'real' in the meaning that he wasn't born a dragon, he transmophed.

Tosh Raka wasn't put in a slumber anymore than Akatosh was. Tosh Raka is another one of Alduin's mirror-brothers, like Akatosh and Auriel. One might be able to argue that he's the Akaviri time-god, who like the rest takes the form of a dragon.

Can he use the Thu'um?

You should read Children of the Sky.

Was this book in Skyrim?

My personal theory is that he is Dragonborn, and turned into a dragon by channeling Akatosh like Martin Septim.

My personal theory is that he is Dragonborn, and turned into a dragon by channeling Akatosh like Martin Septim.

The general theory is that his story is a parallel for Auriel's. The Altmer wish to transcend Mundus; Auriel is the first and only one to accomplish it. The Akaviri wish to become dragons; Tosh Raka is the first and only one to accomplish it. Both just happen to be leaders, both just happen to be mirror-brothers.

Basically, 'transcend' is to an Altmer what 'become a dragon' is to an Akaviri.
