dragon corpses

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:42 pm

Hi,
I'm having a problem with dragon skeletons once I kill them seem to reside and never disappear over time. I'm running the game for PC and I don't like visiting a town such as whiterun where I had previously killed a dragon and seeing the corpse still there, or other times its a few feet from where it was. If this is a bug I would like to see it fixed. It's the only thing thats bothering me about the game atm.

If its named, it never goes away.

If it isn't, then it just needs some time before it disappears.

Open the console, click the skeleton so that the ID shows up, and then type "markfordelete" without the quotes. Hit enter. It should disappear, if not immediately, then when you exit the cell and come back. The only time I've had problems getting this to work is in Winterhold. I'm guessing it's because when I click, I'm clicking on snow particles or some such.

I don't mind them, but they're annoying when they go floppy and re-launch whenever you re-enter the cell, and start wobbling around in the road.

I hate it when they are in the town, it looks really dumb, and yes they start to flop around when I enter the town. I have one that sitting right in front of the goods trader next to the alchemist in whiterun, and in previous games next to the gate, or in front of the companions building. They should fix this in a patch because it is a real drawback.

I must be the only one who thinks it's pretty epic to return to an area I killed one at and see a little (big) reminder of a past victory..

hint : a fireball wil send the skeleton flying like jet plane, so just chuck them away, out of sight, out of mind :)

I have one outside my home in Whiterun. I like to role-play and imagine that the animal removal workers are on strike for more septims.

you will tire of it every time you enter a city and see it flop around and then sit in the middle of everything, I had also hoped for a more long term solution like fixing it in a patch. At least for the cities.
