Belethor Talks in His Sleep?

I'm not sure if this is a glitch, but I was just burglarizing Belethor's shop, when I heard from upstairs "I'd even buy one of your relatives." Curiously I snuckied upstairs to find he was sleeping.

Yep... many NPCs do it... they must have some specific merchant sense and it tells them that someone is in the shop and needs advice on what to buy..
