Of course it helps that they bundled this with news of the upcoming construction set, which will get some people (mostly the PC crowd) to forget about the last few days. The idea of releasing patches first on the PC is a good idea going forward considering how long it takes for console certification. If a problem crops up in a patch they can pull it and tweak it before it hits consoles.
My only issue with the past week has been the silence. Yes I understand how PR works, but you hire community managers for a reason. It would have been nice for them to give us some kind of news other than "we're looking into it" while many people believed they had damned all of their saves by downloading the patch.
Bethesda, you guys made a great game. I've been playing since vanilla Morrowind and I don't see many other long-time fans leaving your clientele anytime soon. But please, going forward... just let us know what the hell is happening when our dragons start flying backwards and our atronachs forget what element they are made of? You know, not 4 days after the game-breaking issues were reported.
Oh and by the way, if M'aiq doesn't reference this fiasco in the next installment I am going to very disappoint.
