I have read that there is a bug with followers where their stats do not update when you level. I was wanting to build a shaman character that could buff a tank like follower. If the game is bugged in this fashion is there any way to alter the followers stats every time you level so that the follower keeps up?

I would like to know also. are some companions meant to stay at a low level to make you choose new companions?
Or is it a bug that will be fixed?
