Okay so heres my deal right now. The quest Arniels Endeavor seems to be bugged, in more ways then one. I've been googling solutions for it for the last half hour with no success. Found fixes for other bugs within the quest but not for the one I have. So I'll turn to my fellow forum dwellers with this question.

So I need to charge the warped soul gem in the final convector. My quest journal tells me to place the warped soul gem in it. I do that, yet it doesn't update the quest journal. I try the spell on the convector, but it doesn't charge the soul gem. Is their any way to fix this glitch and progress forwards in this quest? I'm on PC so console commands are an option, I just dont know the stage id's for any of the stages in this quest and cant find them via google.

Still waiting for a response. Gave up on googling.

Hold down on using the spell Arniel gave you until the journal updates and instructs you to remove the gem and find another convector.

Sorry don't know the answer, just wanted to mention, I'm having the same issue. The quest log is not updating either when putting the gem into the next convector or heating it. I noticed my log says to put it into the final convector, however I've only actually done the job once!
