possible fault in storyline

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:15 pm

well i was replaying the game and i got to the part where you meat gould and get into the chair to have the suit scanned and then drama and Commander Lockhart appears, well the problem is we all know Alcatraz is basically a dead man being kept alive by the suit, so when lockhart powers down the suit and makes you walk to the helecoptor.... wouldn't that just mean alcatraz's body would just drop because the suit would no longer be supporting him? so just wondering what you guys think. or maybe someone can point out why he can still walk.

Probably the suit isn't 100% powered off or something like that. For example, even when it gets shut down by an EMP trap, it still keeps Alcatraz alive in "DOS mode". It won't even let the old guy take CUT it off later on.

The suit is scary

good point, and plus just after the part i mentioned when he's laying on the ground the defibrillator kicks in, so maybe the life support systems in the suit stay permentantly active. im reading the crysis legion book so maybe it will explain it better when i get to that part.

Also when they scan Alcatraz in the cradle the tech/doc states that the suit is growing into the wounds - so in some measure the suit has repaired the body. Still, I don't think the suit is really powered off. It appears by the end to have become almost sentient after assimilating Prophet's consciousness so it could be simply tricking Lockheart into thinking it's been powered off to aid in escape. Or....

Alcatraz doesn't have a heart, yes he is dead, suit powers down, hes actually suffocating for a good minute, however, it would be the equivalent to holding your breath, you remain alive until all the oxygen in your blood is milked dry.

Suit doesnt power down... It just appears powered down. It stopped powering down the moment suit asimilated prophets conciousness. Its like 2 people controling 1 suit.

How about Alcatraz not **** talking for the whole story? Seriously, the whole story could have been avoided if he said "HAI GUYS PROPHET IS DEAD, BUT GAVE ME THE SUIT AND ITS TALKING ABOUT INTEGRATING THE ALIEN DNA INTO ITSELF!"

Why Alcatraz not talking ?
Because it is under the influence of the Nanosuit?
And the Nanosuit contains the spirit of Prophet ? Yet he says "I must break the link" in giving death, but it did not work, or he knew that his only way to "survive" was to die in order to "reborn" through the next symbiote of the nanosuit ?

And, how and why he is seriously ill? I know it is contaminated, but how?
Too many questions with no real good answer, we need a real link between the first and second.

Fail bro, he's dead, and i mean dead dead, like he doesn't have organs dead, his back is snapped dead, it doesn't "heal" either it assimilates compensation techniques, as in rerouting core functions beyond those his body can handle, meaning the suit spoon feeding his body precious nutrients, also yes, he is dead, i swear don't make me pull up the subtitle. Its Alcatraz at the end not prophet, he just has a severe case of personality disorder.

Dont you guys get it? His body is dead, but he lives on in the suit, the suit copied his nuero mapping, meaning Alcatraz is "in" the suit itself. and yes the suit is alive, thats why everyone is so surprised in the game.

Alcratraz is borderline dead when he was put in the suit, the game doesn't really show that well but if you read the crysis legion novel it goes more into detail about before he meets prophet, and the suit was powered down but i believe the life support stays functional. Just before commander lockhart turns up, gould and the technician are talking and they list out that his spine is broken and his heart is failing and a whole list of other complications he has and they call him a dead man walking. which is also the reason i believe he doesn't communicate to people until the end because of his medical state doesn't allow him too.

He cant talk because he doesn't have working lungs, he "figures" how to work the synthesizer at the end of the game, which is how he writes and explains his autobiography in Crysis legions........lol
