Wrye Bash Bashed Patch

Just would like to ask what is the differnence between the merge, imports and tweaks. Had checked around the net but the terms seems too technical for me. Probably any layman explanation on how do all these works and do I have to activate all these options to build my bashed patch?

Once you work your way through all or at least most of this -> http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35230 <- you will have little difficulty fiddling with Bashed Patches and so forth.

Merge: allows Bash to fully merge the content of specified patch files into the Bashed Patcher, thus allowing you to remove the patch mod from the load order.

For example; Robert's Male Body is a mergeable mod, changing only male characters/NPC's.


Import: allows Bash to import specific information from selected mods and/or text files and incorporate that into the bashed patch file. The difference here is Import applies to full mods as opposed to patch mods that can merge.

For selected mods, each of the tags will import the related information into the Bashed Patch if necessary. In cases where two source mods modify the same Actor in the same way, then the later loading source mod will win.

For example; Import Actors: AIPackages - This option will merge changes to NPC, and creature AIPackage lists from the selected mods.


Tweak: tweaks records in the currently active set of mods in specified ways. Entirely configurable and optional to suit your tastes.

For example; Tweak Clothes - Gloves Show Rings: Prevents gloves from hiding rings.
